Protect Children With Child Guard

"Surely you are not going to put that THING on our daughter." Amy asked Ace.

"Well", he said, "you know how Darlie likes to take off like a jet. This leash is the only way we can be sure she doesn't get too far away from us before we can catch her!"

"We're going to a kid's park," said Amy, "not the Westminster Kennel Club! Surely there is a better solution."

The doorbell rang. Ace opened the door for Amy's best friend, Rebecca and her daughter, Lora. After one look at Darlie, Rebecca turned to Amy and asked, "Did you trade Darlie for a doggie?"

"This is my husband's idea of keeping track of an active two-year old." said Amy.

Rebecca reached into her purse and produced a tiny plastic panda. "Here", she said, "I bought an extra one of these, and it sure looks as though you can use it." Rebecca told her friends that she worried about Lora, too, but she wanted her daughter to have fun running with the other children. She explained how the Child Guard beeps to alert parents if a child strays more than a few feet away.

"Mommy says I need to hold on tight to my kitty," said Lora, showing off her cat-shaped Child Guard, on a ribbon around her neck.

"They're shaped like little pets, so the kids don't mind when they're clipped to their clothes," said Rebecca.

"What happens when several parents are using Child Guards at the same time?" Ace wondered aloud."Do they interfere with each other?"

"There is a great feature about the system," said Rebecca, "it scans for a clear frequency, so it doesn't cause interference to anyone else's system. So, are we ready to go to the park?"

Later that afternoon, while their parents relaxed on a park bench Darlie and Lora played on a swing set while the panda and the kitty dangled from their necks. Ace looked up as he heard the familiar sound of the ice cream truck pulling into the park. A split second later, the Child Guard receiver he had on his key ring started to beep.

Ace rushed off to scoop up Darlie as she dashed for the sweets. As they saw another kid straining against his nylon harness, Ace thanked Rebecca for helping them enjoy a day at the park without that kind of embarrassment.
